First Minister Alex Salmond Show More Support for the Cyrenians be Signing up as Guest Speaker for this years' 3rd Annual Business Dinner
Local homeless charity the Cyrenians are delighted to announce that the First Minister Alex Salmond has agreed to be a guest speaker at this years' 3rd annual business dinner at the Marcliffe Hotel & Spa on Thursday 3rd July.
The business dinner brings together corporate supporters from across the city and shire in a bit to raise funds for services for people affected by homelessness and also to raise awareness of factors that perpetuate homelessness. This year's business dinner takes place in the Cyrenians' 40th anniversary year.
The First Minister said: "Having recently been introduced to the work of the Cyrenians I have been extremely impressed with the level of service that they are able to provide to such a diverse group of individuals. Forty years of supporting local people affected by homelessness is a huge achievement and I wish them well for the future."
The Cyrenians' Fundraising Manger Amy Grant said: "We are absolutely delighted that the First Minster will be the guest speaker at this important event. Alex Salmond has a reputation for being a very good after dinner speaker and can entertain an audience very well. We look forward to an excellent evening".
