Aberdeen Cyrenians supported by
The Charity Box
Aberdeen Cyrenians has been kindly and generously supported by Aberdeen College's The Charity Box. The Charity Box is a store run by staff and students of Aberdeen College and supported by the vast donations made by staff, students and the public alike to generate funding for local charities.
The Charity Box is now in it's 5 year of running and is proving very popular with students, staff and the community as another way to shop locally and support worthwhile causes.
Aberdeen Cyrenians has received their biggest cheque to date, £1029.70. This funding will go towards helping our Street Alternatives project purchase new resources to support the service. The service is wholly supported by volunteers and provides individuals that are rough sleeping or in accomodation with no cooking facilities access to a two course meal, laundry and showering facilities, four times a week.
The donation by The Charity Box will help Street Alternatives to purchase new pots, pans, utensils, storage equipment and other essentials that will make delivering this service much smoother for volunteers and service users.
We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the staff and students at Aberdeen College and The Charity Box for this huge donation. In addition we would also like to thank all the individuals that continue to support The Charity Box by making purchases, without your support new reources for our project would simply not be possible.
