Street Alternatives
Street Alternatives is a complimentary project run in line with other volunteer services for homeless people in the city and operates through the use of volunteers. The service has been running since 2006 and was developed after The Cyrenians lost the funding from Shelter for the winter crisis project. Some of the then volunteers wanted to carry on providing a much needed service for homeless people in the city of Aberdeen.
The project runs on a Tuesday and Thursday Evening, Saturday lunchtimes and every alternative Sunday. The need for the Street Alternativies service has never been so high and is a vital lifeline for many vunerable individuals. For this reason we would like to extend the service and open 7 nights a week.
