Clifton Road

The Clifton Road project provides temporary accommodation and care for persons in need requiring care and support when it is no longer possible or appropriate to care for them in their own homes or where they do not have permanent accommodation.

The project is a transitional step for individuals prior to being re-settled into a less supported environment in the community.  The project aims to move-on residents within 12 months of entering the service, although this is based on the individuals progress.

Service User Profile:

The service will be provided for 16 - 26 year olds:

  • whose existing care arrangements have broken down or are at risk of breaking down placing the person at risk
  • where there is a high risk of family breakdown or breakdown has occurred
  • who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and considered to be a vulnerable person
  • whose involvement in work, training or education cannot be maintained
  • who have significant health problems (including mental health or substance misuse) with a risk to safety or independence
  • where abuse or neglect has occurred or may occur
  • who are making the transition from being "looked after and accommodated"
  • whose needs cannot be currently met through supported accommodation or a housing support service
  • who demonstrate a commitment to engage with the service
  • who are eligible for housing and to receive either directly or indirectly public funds and be entitled to reside in the United Kingdom.
