Saturday 24th April saw The Cyrenians Go Loopy Challenge take place at Perth Airport. A nervous bunch of participants arrived at the venue at 0930 to start what would be an unforgettable day.
Each participant took part in the saftey and induction training in the morning, before the first flights took place.
First in the air were JJ Welsh of Argon Isotanks and Gwen Aitken, who set of at 11am just as the cloud broke to reveal a beautiful spring day. Next up were Mike Marshall of Swan Business Solutions and Graham Hill. All four completed numerous aerobatic stunts including a Loop the Loop, Stall turn, Barrell roll and an aileron roll.
As the planes were refuelled the Pilots and Go Loopy participants and supporters also took the opportunity to refuel themselves, and were treated to a fantastic lunch at the Aviator resturant.
After lunch the next two in the air were a very nervous Sarah-Louise Kenrick and an excited Marina Horrocks. After they had touched down the final two flights of the day took place this saw David Caulfield of BA Components and an extremely shaky Cyrenians Fundraiser Ally Caulfield take to the skies.
After the event Cyrenians Fundraiser Ally Caulfield commented " This has truly been a once in a lifetime event, I personally did something today that I never thought possible. I would like to thank everyone who took part and those of you who came to support your friends and family, I would also like to thank the fantastic team from Ultimate high and George Walkers Events."

Rod Leach, General Manager, Number 1 Restaurant, Aberdeen: "I was delighted to offer an auction item at the 2008 business dinner and very pleased it raised so much. It is rewarding to see such a commedable charity raise as much as it did on what was a very successful, well organised evening".
