General Information

The Cyrenians is a voluntary organisation tackling homelessness.  Our aim is to meet the needs of people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or affected by homelessness in any way.  We listen to difficulties, understand needs, share burdens, provide professional care and strive to identify permanent solutions.

We receive considerable financial support from Aberdeen City Council (Social Work and Housing Services) in support of our work.  Fundraising has increasingly become important to develop new initiatives.  Our total annual expenditure is approaching c. £4m.  Approximately 120+ staff are employed throughout our projects.

A voluntary management committee (Council of Management) who are responsible for strategic management manages the Cyrenians.  All operational matters are the responsibility of the Chief Executive, Director of Community Services and Director of Residential Services who make up the Senior Management Team.
