SIREN
SIREN is a mentoring, development and coaching social enterprise providing services to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in central and eastern Europe. The enterprise is a joint venture between the Cyrenians in Aberdeen and Edinburgh and Glasgow Simon Community.
Aims of SIREN are:
1) To work with NGOs to enable their access to a competitive funding climate.
2) To develop the management skills of NGO staff, trainees and volunteers.
3) To aid the progress of change in NGO organisational structures.
4) To support the NGOs to respond to new and emerging markets in services in a sustainable way.
5) To develop appropriate legal and administrative structures with NGOs (including human resources, finance, health and saftey).
6) To establish solid relationships of trust amoung the partners as a base for closer joint working in the future.
7) To establish a recognised, quality driven service with all appropriate legal and financial systems.
